Richard S. (“Rick”) Lowell has been a litigation attorney since 1986. He became a founding member of Magnuson Lowell, P.S. in 1990 and is currently ‘of counsel’ at that firm. Mr. Lowell’s practice has been exclusively in civil litigation. He has routinely employed private investigators throughout his career to assist in service of process, witness locates, asset checks, site investigations, witness interviews, social media investigation, surveillance and more. He has tried cases in Washington State District and Superior Courts, as well as both Washington (Federal) District Courts.

He has also handled appeals at the Washington State Supreme Court, the Washington State Courts of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit (Federal) Court of Appeals. He is a mediator and arbitrator and is regularly selected by civil attorneys to arbitrate disputes filed in Superior Court. Mr. Lowell has provided training to groups of attorneys on numerous topics and is frequently sought out for his expertise in handling civil litigation matters.
