Biography
Richard A. Devine is an assistant professor of management in the Driehaus College of Business. He teaches courses in strategy and entrepreneurship. Devine’s research is primarily in the areas of non-market strategy, leadership and individual differences, and entrepreneurship. He is fascinated by the intersection of business and economics as well as the resulting implications for government policy.
Devine’s work has been presented at the Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society international conferences. His work has also been published in leading peer-reviewed academic journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and has been featured in major press outlets, such as USA Today and The Conversation. Prior to joining academia, he worked in the public sector in a variety of roles. Outside of work, Devine enjoys traveling, being on the water and spending time with his dogs.
