Biography:
Mr. Yamanaka is full-time faculty at GLOBIS, and now leading the CRE (Creativity and Entrepreneurship) Faculty Group.
Prior to GLOBIS, he has the experience in entrepreneurial ventures. Led business development of SMS Co., Ltd. (Publicly listed since 2008) and served as COO at Health Solution, Inc.
Before that experience, he worked for GLOBIS Capital Partners, and led the investment in IT, service, animation and healthcare area, and worked as a board member of three startups.
Before entering into the venture world, he used to work for Canon, and engaged in business development, mainly alliance building with foreign ventures.
On private side, he worked as the President of PTA (Parents and Teachers Association) of a public elementary school in Kawasaki. He also is one of the founding members of Healthcare Venture Forum - nonprofit organization that facilitates new venture creation in digital healthcare and medical device area.
Faculty Message:
Entrepreneurship is the critical component for us to ''create and innovate the society.'' Then, how can we brush it up? We provide technical skills and knowledge, but that is not enough. I believe it is the ''virtual'' experience of real startup that trains your entrepreneurship.
