After 15 years working for the State of Maine in both the Department of Labor (Unemployment Insurance Division) and the Department of Health and Human Services (Reg. OMB Operations), Rebecca Nichols returned to Boston University to teach both Organizational Behavior and Management as a System at the then School of Management in 2007. Nichols previously taught and coordinated the Org. Behavior course in 1995/96 during her transition from DOL to DHHS. During her employ in State Govt., she was responsible for administration, integrity and training and overall operations regarding Unemployment Insurance Benefits for the MEDOL She was also a key member of the transition team moving operations from local offices to regional call centers. Nichols most recently worked as the Director of Regional OMB Operations for DHHS. Within this role she oversaw several key operational areas for the department ranging from Federal Audit compliance, Labor Capital Management, Lease and Contract Negotiation, Construction Management and Capital Budgeting. At Questrom, she currently teaches Business, Society and Ethics, Organizational Behavior and Career Management Classes. She is also a Team Consultant for the Questrom Team Learning Center.
