Raymond O. Powrie, MD, FRCP(C), FACP, is the Chief of Medicine at Women & Infants Hospital and an attending physician for the Center for Obstetric and Consultative Medicine. He is also the Senior Vice President for Population Health at Women & Infants and Executive Chief of Medicine for Care New England.
Dr. Powrie earned his medical degree from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine in Edmonton, Canada, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He completed his fellowship in obstetric and consultative medicine at Women & Infants Hospital.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Powrie is a professor of medicine and obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Powrie is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is the lead editor for the international textbook, "Medical Disorders in Obstetric Practice."
