Dr. Rashed Alzahmi is an Associate Professor of Business Administration and the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the College of Business and Economics at the UAE University. Alzahmi is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and holds a Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development (WFED) with a specialization in Human Resource Development and Organization Development from the Pennsylvania State University (PSU). He has earned his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in WFED from the same university and an associate degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania College of Technology. He has won the first place FAHR Award for Best Academic Research in Human Resources in 2018 and has been selected by the Ministry of Education as the Program Ambassador for the UAE Stanford nationwide Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Initiative.
Prior to becoming a professor, Alzahmi worked in a major oil and gas company in the UAE where he was responsible for recruiting and preparing hundreds of talented individuals for their future careers through various educational and career preparations programs. His current research areas revolve around strategic workforce planning, succession planning, human resource management strategy, work engagement, and performance management.
