Background

Rajendra Singh is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Management Science at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. Previously, he taught at the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina.

Singh received his Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems in 2011 from Georgia State University. Prior to starting with his academic career, he worked for over 14 years as a production engineer, business process analyst, software quality consultant and IT project manager. He worked in several enterprise resource planning, e-commerce, supply chain management, data resource management and IT governance initiatives.

Research

Singh’s research follows an engaged scholarship model, emphasizing collaboration with key stakeholders to conduct multi-disciplinary investigations of the interfacing areas of business, processes and information technology. His research interests include IT-enabled transformation of health care delivery, health care operations and business process innovation.

Singh’s research has been published in journals such as Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems and Health Services Research. He has also published papers in the proceedings of several conferences. His paper received the Best Paper Award in Information Technology in health care track at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences in January 2016.
