Currently working as Dean (Noida Campus) he has been awarded six times as "Best Faculty" in the row. International teaching experience has taught in six universities abroad as a guest faculty. Research interests include consumer culture, the bottom of the pyramid, inter-organization dynamics, religion impact on marketing and consumer insights of goods, services in B2C and B2B. He has publications in various refereed category journals. His cases has published at Richard Ivey and listed at Harvard Business School Press.

He has a blend of industry and academics experience. Knowledge and practical expertise extend across the fields of business, marketing, sales, and distribution. His consulting and training experience include public sector, private companies, and government department, some of his client list includes Lafarge Cement, Abbott Limited, Groz Engineering tools, Shakti Pump, Mahindra and Mahindra Finance Limited, and SPMCIL, to name a few.

Research

Rajeev Kumra has published more than 30 Papers and Chapters in peer reviewed journals and books, and his current areas of research include E-Commerce, Marketing and Religion, Marketing Orientation, and Bottom of Pyramid. His work has published in category journals like Journal of Business Industrial Marketing (A Category), Journal of Management Organization (B category), International Journal of Electronic Business, International Journal of Business and Emerging Markets, Journals of IIM-C and IIM-L, and others

Teaching

  • Rajeev Kumra is passionate about teaching and it is reflected in his aspiration to weave the whole Gamut of Marketing with his richness of vast real life experience and delivered like a magical fairy tale that should be enjoyed like a child by participants. He believes that a Professor should be so interesting and lucid that even Non-Marketing participants should eagerly attend his lectures without compulsory attendance even in the early morning sessions - a rarity across B-schools. Business school professor should discuss a good mix of international as well as his own written cases in the classroom.
  • Aspiring to bring in a practical application to management education, he launched an elective course titled, “Applied Marketing Strategy”, which has become one of the most popular courses now at the IIMs. His students posit faith in his teaching philosophy by showering him for past six years in row with “Best Faculty at IIM-L” Award. This award gives him renewed energy for this great calling of teaching and provides him the renewed confidence that he is going in right direction.
