Biography
After completing my PhD at the University of St Andrews I spent two years as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. I returned to the UK in 2005 to take up a research fellowship funded by the Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government Health Directorates at the University of Aberdeen. I moved to Aston University as an RCUK Academic Research Fellowship in 2008. In January 2013 I took up my current post at the University of Manchester.
