Poula Helth is now PhD fellow in leadership at Copenhagen Business School, and before that a management consultant and coach for many years in her own company as well as in some big companies, i.e. Rambøll Management and KPMG. Further, she is an external lecturer at bachelor and master levels in educations for managers. Poula holds a master in political science, worked as a social worker and is educated in a systemic theory and narrative psychology and philosophy. She has been CEO in a Danish municipality and has had different managing employments, including director in her own consultant company.

Examples from her professional life includes: Research about the female labour market in Denmark, evaluation on the labour market in the Nordic countries , barriers for participation of female management in Denmark, developing a system for equal opportunity consultants, chairman of a labour market panel in OECD, member of an advisory board for the minister of equal opportunity in Denmark, member of advisory board at the University of Aarhus (DPU), chairman of the board at a senior high school (HF/gymnasium in Copenhagen) .                      

Further, Poula has done research, reports, changing processes and workshops based on new methods of talking, feeling, seeing and reflecting. She has done jobs as a management consultant in many different companies, contexts and associations with various political, public and personal purposes. She is known for giving numerous public speeches on leadership and communication.    

Poula Helth is also a writer. She has published many books and articles in the period from 1996 to 2013, focusing on the change from management to leadership, philosophy for leaders and why we need to talk.
