Biography

Perry Singleton, Associate Professor of Economics and specializes in public, labor, and health economics. His research focuses on the effects of health on labor market outcomes, the economics of the family in relation to health, and the role of social insurance programs in the economy, including Social Security''s old-age and disability insurance and the Department of Veterans Affair''s Disability Compensation program. He is also interested in occupational safety and health in relation to labor market outcomes, firm productivity, technological development, and regulatory oversight. He has numerous published papers including in Economic Letters, Journal of Human Resources, and the National Tax Journal.
