Paul Gugliuzza

Professor   Paul Gugliuzza teaches courses in civil procedure and intellectual property law.  His research lies at the intersection of those fields, with an emphasis on patent litigation.  Professor Gugliuzza’s recent articles include “The Federal Circuit as a Federal Court,” published in the William & Mary Law Review, “Rethinking Federal Circuit Jurisdiction,” published in the Georgetown Law Journal, and “Patent Law Federalism,” forthcoming in the Wisconsin Law Review.

Professor Gugliuzza graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University School of Law.  After law school, he clerked for Judge Ronald M. Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and practiced in the Issues and Appeals group at Jones Day in Washington, D.C.  Prior to joining the faculty at BU, Professor Gugliuzza was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
