Biography

Paul Attinello has taught at the International Centre for Music Studies at Newcastle University since 2002. He also taught at the University of Hong Kong and UCLA, living and working on four continents in the past three decades. He has published in the Journal of Musicological Research, Musik-Konzepte, Musica/Realtá, the revised New Grove and a number of essay collections.
Dr Attinello has been Director of Postgraduate Studies for the School of Arts & Sciences, Head of Postgraduate Studies for ICMuS, Degree Programme Director for the MA programme in Music, Degree Programme Director for the Year Abroad Bachelors programme in Music, and and has served on external committees such as the AMS Council and the Philip Brett Award committee.
