Stockholm School of Economics
Pär Åhlström holds the Torsten and Ragnar Söderberg Chair in Business Administration at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), where he is also Dean of Degree Programs. He conducts research in the field of lean in services, manufacturing and product development. He has co-authored a book on the topic of lean together with Niklas Modig. His interest in education in all its forms remains, and Pär is a lecturer and program director in great demand at SSE IFL Executive Education among others.
Pär began his career as an engineer, but was admitted at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1990, and continued as a doctoral student in 1993. 1995 to 1998 Pär was a research associate at London Business School, Center for Operations Management. Between 2002 and 2007 he held a professorship in Operations Management at Chalmers University of Technology, Industrial Economics.
