Professor Dr. Oliver Gassmann is the director of the Institute for Technology Management of the University of St. Gallen (ITEM-HSG). His research focuses on success factors for innovation, especially within open innovation and global innovation processes. In 1998 he received the RADMA prize in Manchester. He was elected as one of the world’s 50 top researchers by the International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT) in 2009. Gassmann, who is HSG professor of Innovation Management, has received this award for the sum of his publications over the last five years. Thus, Oliver Gassmann is one of the world’s most active researchers in the field of innovation management. Furthermore, Oliver Gassmann is the Chairman of the HSG Research Committee and the main teacher in several executive MBA programmes.
