Nyla Obaid

Biography

Nyla Obaid is an experienced market research professional, with over a decade of relevant experience in media, consumer packaged goods, and non-profit industries. She is currently employed as a research officer at CBC-Radio Canada, working on the large-scale custom audience, content, and brand research projects for Canada’s public broadcaster. Nyla has spent several years working as a senior research analyst at Nielsen, serving clients like Pepsi, Colgate-Palmolive, and Heinz. She also brings retail marketing experience from her work in category development at Energizer Canada. In addition to teaching at George Brown, Nyla is also a marketing instructor at the Business School at Humber College. As a teacher, Nyla cares tremendously about her students. In particular, she enjoys working on learning styles to support student diversity and equity. In her spare time, Nyla loves to volunteer with youth, spend time with her young daughter, and practice yoga.
