Biography

Nuno Vasco Lopes is auxiliary professor at the Department of Information Systems and a researcher at the Computer Communications Group of R&D Algoritmi Centre, in the University of Minho. He develops is teaching and research activities at the University of Minho.

Current research interests concern the Quality of Service (QoS) in mobile networks, QoS in vehiculares networks, real-time services in mobile devices, future network and Internet of things.

A qualified and experience professional with 13 years of experience in education and telecom sector. Adept at publishing relevant scientific work and preparing thesis. Expanded knowledge through experience in teaching new courses and making research. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes of computer communications and computer networks security at the University of Minho. He is author of more than dozen cientific works in international conferences and journals. He has seven national and international awards. He is member of IEEE computer society.

His research interests include the quality of service in mobile networks, such as, MANETS, VANETS and mobile Internet in general, the mobility magement in mobile networks, optimization algorithms for management of computer networks, the future Internet, and the Internet of things.
