University of New Mexico
Norman H. Colter, MBA, CPA is a full-time faculty member in the department of accounting at the Anderson School of Management. He currently teaches an introductory Principles of Financial Accounting class and an Accounting Information Systems class. He earned an Associate in Liberal Arts degree from New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. Later, he earned his Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. Finally, he received his MBA in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Norm has been a certified public accountant in the State of New Mexico since November 2000. Along with his teaching duties, he performs consulting activities and sits on various boards in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho communities.
Norm's wife, Ana, is a pharmacist and they have been married for 23 years. They have four children and enjoy traveling around the country and spending time with their children and extended family. In his spare time Norm enjoys sampling new wines and fine cigars!
