Cork University Business School

Noel Woods is a Senior Lecturer in Economics and Director of Centre for Policy Studies at Cork University Business School, University College Cork. He is Ireland Principal Investigator on the EU Horizon 2020 6 country consortium ADVOCATE. He was awarded the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2007, followed by a Staff Recognition Award for Enhancing the Student Experience in 2014. Noel is member of the State Examinations Commission, on the advisory board of GlaxoSmithClyne (GSK) UK, economic advisor to the National Oral Health Policy Academic Research Group, and academic advisor to EnActUs UCC. Noel headed a Task Force for the Restructuring Malaysian Health System in 2010 and in 2018 received a Irish Aid grant in collaboration with Vietnam University of Agriculture to develop a educational exchange between Ireland and Vietnam. Noel was Director of the UCC BComm Degree and Chir of BComm Board of Studies from 2011-2015. Noel has over 50 peer reviewed publications in the area of health economics with a current SCOPUS H-Index score: h-index = 11, Researchgate score: RG = 29.2, h-index = 11, Google Citations: h-index = 13, i10-index = 19.
