Biography

Nicoletta Giusti is the Program DIrector of the master in Fashion, Design and Luxury Management. Shde was previously Assistant Professor of Organization Theory at the Management Department of the Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna. She holds a DEA (M.A.) in Sociology at the Instut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) and a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Paris Est - Marne-la-Vallée, with a dissertation about the creative process in Haute Couture and Prêt-à-porter Fashion Houses in France and Italy (jury: Diana Crane, Erhard Friedberg, Lucien Karpik, Mario Lupano, Alain Quemin, Catherine Paradeise, Jean-Claude Thoenig). She has taught  Organization of the Fashion System at the B.A. and the M.A. in Fashion of the University of Bologna and at the International MBA in Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods of Alma Graduate School and Organizational Behavior at the Master in General Management of Alma Graduate School. She also cooperates with Modacult, the centre for fashion Studies of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and she was in the Scientific Committee of the International Congress “Fashion Tales”, organized in Milan on June 2012. Her research is actually focused on the Fashion Designer and on Design as a form of organization of the creative process. She is the author of several publications about Fashion and Fashion Studies.
