Neli Loewenthal teaches International Business at the Zicklin School of Business. Prior to Baruch College, Dr. Loewenthal taught international business and strategy at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington D.C. beginning in 2013. While at GWU, Dr. Loewenthal taught an MBA course in international business strategy and the following undergraduate courses: Introduction to International Business, Managing the Multinational Enterprise, Age of Globalization, and Markets and Politics.

Her research on corruption, government transparency and foreign direct investment was recognized by the 2017 Academy of International Business ‘Buckley and Casson’ award for best dissertation. Dr. Loewenthal earned PhD in International Business following an MBA in Finance and Investments from GWU School of Business.

Prior to obtaining her doctoral degree in International Business, Dr. Loewenthal consulted for Accenture, at the US Secretary of the Air Force Small Business Office (SAF/SB) and at small businesses on international expansion strategies. Her professional experience contributes to a deep understanding of the practice of international business, which she endeavors to pass forward in the way of practical skills that enable students to secure jobs and grow as global-minded leaders.
