Nasir is Chief Information Officer with the City of Markham and has experience in senior ICT leadership and service delivery for well over a decade with responsibilities that include: providing strategic leadership and direction for the organization in all aspects of ICT and being a strong partner to business stake holders in technology enablement; planning and delivery of reliable ICT services to meet the operational business needs, including the provision and management of technology infrastructure and business systems, corporate data, security and communications services; development and management of capital and annual operating budget, and both short- and long-term business plans for the corporate ICT function; sponsoring and overseeing all ICT projects for best practices, and successful and timely delivery; overseeing corporate IT policies/procedures and best practices and identifying strategic information technology initiatives/opportunities; establishing and measuring key performance indicators and benchmarks; monitoring and maintaining consistency and quality of programs and services; ensuring the work environment is conducive to build and maintain a high performing collaborative team.
