Biography

Mona Weiss is a postdoctoral Visiting Scholar at the Department of Management and Organizations at Stern. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany (2006) and her PhD in organizational behavior from ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2014). Her research interests include voice, social perception, and intergroup relations in teams. During her PhD, she studied how self-perceptions regarding agency and communion as well as leadership affect voice behavior in health care teams. In her postdoctoral project (funded by a fellowship grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation), she looks at the consequences of voice in teams—particularly with respect to power and status perceptions.
