Biography
Executive School of Management, Technology and Law
Christian Gansch is an internationally revered, grammy award-winning, Austrian conductor and producer, and an inspiring and innovative management consultant.
Since 2003 he has worked as a consultant in communication and “orchestral consciousness”, for a number of major companies. His experience as a manger and a musician, has driven his unique coaching concept, which reveals how companies can learn a great deal from the complex structures in orchestras.
From 1981 to 1990 Gansch was leader of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. He went on to produce over 190 CDs worldwide with artists such as Pierre Boulez, Claudio Abbado and Anna Netrebko. He has won four Grammys, amongst many other international awards. During his time as a conductor Gansch worked with the English BBC Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Russian National Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in Paris and the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo. He was the recipient of the Record Academy Award Tokyo, for conductor in the category “Best Concerto Disc” for Beethoven’s five piano concertos, and as a producer for Mahler’s 8th Symphony with the Berlin Staatskapelle under the baton of Pierre Boulez.
As a management consultant, Gansch shows how orchestras with their high potential for human conflicts, leadership issues and complex integrated communications, are a perfect example of how to bring a huge variety of specialists and instruments together, to form one integrated harmonious unit. He explores how people can maintain their individuality and work together to create “one sound” and achieve the corporate goal. He highlights why it is important for people to listen to, and co-operate with each other, to know when it is their time to lead and when they should follow.
Gansch reveals how achieving the correct balance in communication, motivation and leadership creates an environment in which innovation and excellence can flourish.
