Biography

He was born on 13 August 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia. He attended Elementary and School of Trade and Hospitality in Kragujevac with great success. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University in Kragujevac, Department of Finance and Accounting, with an average score of 9.27/10.00. He received awards for excellent results during the studies from the Serbian government in 2001 and the Norwegian government (500 best students in Serbia) in 2003. He completed his magisterium studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University in Belgrade, Department of Financial and Accounting Analysis, with an average score of 9.11/10.00. He defended his Magisterium thesis "Financial Aspects of Value Creating and Measuring" in June 2010. He defended doctoral thesis "Managing Economic Exposure to Foreign Exchange Risk with the Aim to Maximize Company Value" in May 2015 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Kragujevac. He has been working at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Kragujevac since October 2010. Since November 2015 he is Assistant professor of Business Finance (undergraduate studies), Corporate Financial Restructuring (graduate studies), International Financial Management, and Strategic Financial Management (doctoral studies). He is also Assistant Professor of Financial Management in the Health Protection System at the Faculty of Medicinal Sciences of the University of Kragujevac (graduate studies), and of Public Sector Financing at the Department of Economic Sciences of the State University of Novi Pazar (graduate studies). As Junior Faculty Development Program scholar he stayed at the University of Denver (supervisor Professor Ron Kucic) in January-May 2010. in April-May 2012, as a fellow of the Erasmus Mundus program, he conducted a one-month research stay at the University of Ghent, Belgium (supervisor Professor Michael Froemmel). In December 2011 he participated in a five-day seminar "Development of the Life-Long Learning Framework in Serbia" at the Aarhus University in Copenhagen, Denmark. In February 2016 he conducted five-day stay at the University of Economics in Bratislava and Institute of Economic Research of the Slovak Academy of Science, by invitation from Professor Jana Kotlebova. In 2016 he was beneficiary of Erasmus+ five-day academic staff (teaching) mobilities at the University of Economics in Katowice (Poland) and Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (Greece). In 2017 and 2018 he participated in five-day study visits to the University Guglielmo Marconi in Rome (Italy), University of Split (Croatia), European University in Tirana (Albania), University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi" (Albania), Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia), and Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic). He was a part-time associate in the BSC Kragujevac in 2009-2010 where he implemented training in financial management, prepared a manual about cost-benefit analysis and participated in the selection of business plans. He was a member of the team for the implementation of the program of continuous professional development of teachers and educators “Influence of the Group Characteristics on the Effects of Active and Cooperative Learning," which was approved by the Institute for the Advancement of Education of the Republic of Serbia for the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014. In 2011-2013 he was facilitator of the Open World program. In 2016 he was part-time associate in the RBC Kragujevac, where he conducted analysis of costs and benefits of an innovative employment approach. He is deputy institutional coordinator of an Erasmus+ project FINanacial management, Accounting and Controlling curricula development for capacity building of public administration (FINAC), which is realized in 2016-2019. He participates in realization of project "New jobs for Young Accountants" financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. He was coordinator of project "Improving the Reading and Writing Skills of University Students in Serbia" financed by the American Councils for International Education. He was coordinator of project "Establishment of the Centre for Student Counselling and Career Development at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Kragujevac" financed by the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. He participated in several projects of applied research and capital evaluation.

He speaks English language fluently and has basic knowledge of the German language.
