BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Michael Thibideau is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University and the CPSM supply management professional credential from ISM. He has instructed MBA and undergraduate courses in operations management, strategic management, management control systems, procurement and strategic cost management at Michigan State University, Wayne State University and Lawrence Technological University.

Dr. Thibideau’s career has involved progressive leadership positions in the automotive industry spanning 30 years including general management of a growing and profitable manufacturing operation; and C-level experience as Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Purchasing and Logistics. He has an accomplished professional record of improving profitability and leading change in the workplace.

In academia, Dr. Thibideau has instructed traditional, hybrid and fully online courses. He has earned several teaching awards including the 2019 MSU AT&T Instructional Technology Award for technology enhanced classroom; and the 2012 Blackboard Catalyst Award for excellence in online course design. Dr. Thibideau’s current interests are focused on how the business school classroom can facilitate hard and soft skill adoption through team-based experiential learning.
