Biography
Kelley School of Business
With almost 20 years of professional experience coaching individuals in various stages of their career journey, I am committed to advising, guiding, and motivating people to achieve their career goals. My coaching style is positive, energetic, interactive, and goal-oriented with a focus on active listening, inquiry, and personalized guidance. My goal is to challenge and motivate people to take ownership of their career, teach the skills necessary for self-guidance, and serve as an ongoing advocate and resource for individuals to find career success.
I currently serve on the faculty of the prestigious Indiana University Kelley School of Business where I teach career preparation and professional development courses to over 600 undergraduate students each year. In addition to that, I founded CareerNorth, which is a company dedicated to providing career development education and preparation tools to busy student-athletes through guided e-learning courses.
I have also worked in career services at top-ranked large and small colleges and was the senior recruiter for a national recruiting firm. My teaching experience includes college and graduate level courses on career development and job search strategies, as well as, facilitating countless workshops on resume writing, interview skills, and leadership. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and am a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Keirsey Personality Assessment practitioner. My goal is to be a source of motivation, knowledge, and empowerment to help people move forward in their career journey and take a leap toward achieving their career goals.
