Cyprus International Institute of Management

Mr. Mike Berry has a 30-year career in marketing and has worked with many of the world’s largest brands. Having started out at Procter and Gamble, he has held senior international roles at Wunderman (WPP) and Bozell/ FCB and Jack Morton (Interpublic). Since becoming a freelance trainer, lecturer, and consultant in 2009, Mike has worked with CIIM as Course Tutor and Guest Lecturer in Digital Marketing in both Nicosia and Limassol.

He is Course Tutor on the IDM’s Professional Diploma in Direct and Digital Marketing and sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Direct, Data and Digital Marketing Practice (Macmillan). Mike is Lead Course Director, Digital Strategy at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Mike is Adjunct Professor of Marketing and Course Leader on the Master of International Marketing Programme at Hult International Business School, London. He was voted ‘Professor of The Year’ by the students. He is a Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College London and the Universities of Cranfield and Warwick.

He trains and consults ‘in-company’ for major corporations (brand owners and agencies) and SMEs. Mike is both passionate and knowledgeable about digital marketing and his classical marketing training, and wide experience makes him ideally qualified to train marketers at all levels in digital skills.

Mike is the author/ co-author of ‘The New Integrated Direct Marketing’ (Gower) and The Best of Global Digital Marketing Books 1 and 2. Mike writes a regular Blog on Marketing and Technology, and he has over 7,000 Twitter followers.

Mike is a regular Guest Blogger on best-selling author Dr. Dave Chaffey’s ‘Smart Insights’ Blog.

A highly experienced digital marketing lecturer, trainer and consultant, Mike is internationally recognised for his work in marketing. Specialising in digital marketing, Mike has a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Social and Economic studies from Imperial College London. He has worked at P&G and held senior roles at top global advertising agencies including Wunderman, Y&R, Euro RSCG and Interpublic (IPG). Mike is author/co-author for three books including The Best of Global Digital Marketing.

Now a freelance consultant and lecturer, Mike has worked with many of the world’s top brands including Deloitte, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Nestlé, JP Morgan and GSK. He is the Lead Course Director on the Level 6 Diploma Digital Strategy module for CIM Academy and is a highly respected tutor for both open and in company courses run by CIM.

He also teaches Undergraduate and Postgraduate at Hult International Business School in London, is course leader for MSc Strategic Marketing-Digital Fundamental at Imperial College London, is a visiting Lecturer and MSc assignment supervisor at the University of Warwick and guest lecturer at Cranfield School of Management.

Mike Berry is Professor of Marketing at Hult International Business School, London. He has worked in marketing for over 25 years, starting his career at Procter & Gamble. He has held senior positions at Wunderman/Young and Rubicam (WPP), FCB (Senior VP European Integration) and as Head of Digital EMEA for Jack Morton (Interpublic group). He currently holds senior teaching/ training roles at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM). Mike has worked with many of the world's largest brands as a strategic advisor/consultant on direct, digital and integrated marketing. Mike is a Fellow of both the CIM and the IDM. He is the (co-) author of four books about Marketing.
