Mikael Sokero

Mikael works in the Transformative Governance team.

He leads and manages the capacity-building portfolio consisting of training programs for civil servants in different locations. The trainings range from for example methodologically oriented foresight training to agile leadership courses, they can be short and inspirational or long transformative processes.

Before his time at Demos Helsinki, Mikael worked as an entrepreneur in a consultancy company called Avanto Helsinki. Avanto Helsinki was acquired by Demos Helsinki in 2015.

Key projects: Agile Government Framework for the PMO in UAE, Strategic foresight model for the Ministry of Interior in Finland, Policy Design Training of Trainers for the Latvian State Chancellery.

Outside of work Mikael likes to do all sorts of outdoor activities from trail running, cross-country skiing to mountaineering and hiking. Mikael is also known for being a big fan of cinema, you will certainly find him in his favorite event of the year, the Midnight Sun Film Festival.
