ESMT

Michał Grajek is an associate professor of economics (with tenure). His research interests lie in the areas of Applied Econometrics, Industrial Organization, Competition Policy, and Strategy. His work has focused on network effects, compatibility, and standardization in the Information and Communication Technologies. He has also studied investment and regulation issues in network industries and standardization in international trade.

Michał joined the ESMT faculty in January 2007. Previously he worked as a research fellow at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and the Humboldt University of Berlin. He received his doctorate degree in economics with honors (summa cum laude) from the Humboldt University of Berlin in 2004.

Apart from teaching and academic research, he has acted as a research consultant for E.CA Economics in Berlin, providing expertise in applied econometrics for consulting and research projects dealing with competition policy issues. He also served as ESMT director of research from January 2013 and December 2016. He is currently the faculty lead for the ESMT MBA program.

Michał teaches MBA, EMBA, and MIM courses on Microeconomics and Global Economy, as well as Business Economics in Exed Programs.
