Michaela Fojtů, PhD is a Research Fellow at the Masařík Cancer Research Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University (MU) in Brno. She studied Biochemistry and Genomics and Proteomics at Faculty of Science (MU) and joined the team during her bachelor studies in 2010. She spent part of her doctoral study at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in Martin Pumera’s research group.

In 2018, she received PhD in Physiology and Pathophysiology at Faculty of Medicine (MU). Dr. Fojtů is focusing on cancer biology, testing of novel anticancer compounds, nanocarrier-mediated targeted drug delivery and nanomaterial toxicity. In 2015, she was awarded by the Brno PhD Talent scholarship funded by the Brno City Municipality. She received Werner von Siemens Award in 2019.
