TUM School of Management
The research area of Professor Wolf (b. 1974) is mathematical physics with a strong focus on quantum information theory.
Professor Wolf studied physics at LMU Munich and at Heidelberg University. After completing his first degree in experimental physics (1999), he earned his doctoral degree in mathematical physics at TU Braunschweig (2003). He then worked at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics. In 2008 he was appointed Ole Roemer professor at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. In 2011 Professor Wolf was appointed to the Chair of Mathematical Physics at TUM.

- Recipient of a grant from the German Krupp Foundation (Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Stiftung), program: "Rückkehr deutscher Wissenschaftler aus dem Ausland" (2011)
- Young Elite Researcher’s Award of the Danish Council for Independent Research (2008)
- Ole Roemer professorial fellowship (2007)
- QIPC European Young Investigator Award (2007)
