Michael Sands

Michael Sands is president and founder of Sands Consulting Group, a firm committed to creating training and consulting solutions resulting in high performing organizations. Michael Sands speaks to organizations nationwide on project management-related topics. Michael has over 25 years of experience in project management, organization development and quality management in both the public and private sectors. Michael’s experience in the public sector includes over 20 years in defense intelligence as both an active duty and reserve US Army Officer, which included significant project management responsibilities.

As an Army officer, Michael led numerous projects, from the creation of new organizations, to complex IT programs. As a consultant, Michael has supported organizations seeking ISO 9000 certification, quality improvement projects and other project efforts. He provided over 5000 contact hours to both public and private organizations in project management, Total Quality Management and team development.

Michael Sands has a MA in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix and a BA in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is certified as a Project Management Professional through Project Management Institute.
