Biography
Harvard Medical School
My objective is to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds to enable scientific discovery through research, mentoring, collaboration, and service. The aim of my research program is to discover fundamental biochemical, cellular, and physiologic mechanisms regulating mucosal barrier function and to translate that knowledge into a better understanding of human health and disease. We integrate protein science, epithelial cell biology, and in vivo physiology to understand how protein structure and dynamics regulate molecular function, cellular signaling, and host-microbiota interactions in mucosal homeostasis.
