Biography
Michael Avella has been an instructor for the School of Hospitality for seven years. In 2017, he received the Adjunct Professor of the Year award. Avella teaches food and beverage courses and hospitality management/services.
Avella began his career working for several mom-and-pop restaurants throughout the Chicago area. After that, Avella worked at 312 Chicago in the hotel Allegro. He then spent 10 years working for Gibsons Restaurant Group: Gibsons Rush, Hugo's Frog Bar, LUXBAR and Quartino. Avella currently works for Bill Murray and his family in Rosemont - Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant. He serves as the general manager who opened the store in April of 2018.
