Mellie Price

Mellie Price is the Founder of Purposeful Capital and an experienced startup executive, venture fund manager, angel investor, and philanthropist. An eight-time entrepreneur herself with several successful exits (and a few duds!) under her belt, Mellie is a widely respected educator, thought leader, and public speaker on all things entrepreneurship. Her career passion is sharing authenticity, enthusiasm, anecdotes, and opportunity with kindred spirits willing to join her on a mission to build great companies.

Mellie is a Partner at Notley, an educator at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, a Senior Advisor at Ecliptic Capital, and a current member of the Board of Directors for PBS Austin (KLRU-TV), Leadership Austin, SAFE Alliance, Notley Impact, BEAM, Medical Informatics Corporation, and the National LGBTQ Victory Fund. She is a co-founder of Capital Factory and serves on its Board of Advisors. She has also been honored with the prestigious Profiles in Power (2015) and Tech Titan (2014) awards and served on the Austin Mayor’s Technology Advisory Committee.

Ms. Price holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Natural Sciences and a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from the McCombs School of Business both at the University of Texas at Austin.
