Matthew Souther

Matt Souther is an associate professor of finance at the Darla Moore School of Business. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2014. He previously was an assistant professor of finance at the University of Missouri.

Research

Professor Souther’s research focuses on corporate governance, boards of directors, and shareholder voting. His research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, and Management Science. It has also been covered by international news organizations including the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and the Financial Times.
