Biography
Peter B. Gustavson School of Business
I recently developed an online professional certificate program for the University of Vermont's Grossman School of Business: Leading Sustainable Innovation. For more information: http://bit.ly/GSB-LSI. This unique simulation-based program gives participants a realistic virtual team experience as they lead the transformation of a complex business ecosystem over a 20 year time horizon (in 8 weeks!).
For over two decades, I’ve been focused on training people to be better strategic leaders. I work in corporate environments through my company, WholeWorks, which provides custom simulation-based learning experiences to clients like Nike, Dow Corning, Wendy’s and Starwood. I am also a lecturer at the University of Vermont Grossman School of Business, teaching a course on systems thinking in their Sustainable Innovation - MBA program.
My work takes a systems-oriented view of business, while also drawing on the stakeholder-oriented principles of sustainability. These are an ideal match for many of the strategic challenges of today’s turbulent marketplaces, providing a useful framework for creative thinking about new products, processes and business models.
