Biography
The London School of Economics and Political Science
Dr Matilde Rosina is LSE Fellow in International Migration at the European Institute. Her research focuses on the political economy of international migration, with specific reference to the European context.
Matilde received her PhD in International Political Economy from King’s College London. Her work examined the criminalisation of irregular migration in Europe, investigating its functioning, effectiveness and consequences, from an interdisciplinary perspective. She was awarded scholarships by the Luigi Einaudi Foundation and the Jean Monnet Foundation for Europe.
Before joining the LSE, Matilde lectured at City, University of London, and at Fordham University’s London Centre. In both universities, her teaching revolved around international politics, with particular attention to international political economy and European dynamics.
