Maryann Amodeo

Professor Amodeo is both a Clinical Professor of Social Work as well as Chair of the Department of Clinical Practice. Her research has centered on alcohol and drug problems, substance abuse treatment, health services research in substance abuse, child welfare, training of social service and health professionals as well as culturally responsible social work practice. She is a Consulting Editor for Families in Society and a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Social Work Practice in the Addictions as well as Substance Abuse. In 2012, Professor Amodeo was awarded for outstanding contributions to the Boston University School of Social Work.
