Lynne Pastor

While at Carnegie Mellon University, she worked with many small and emerging companies as a strategic consultant with the Enterprise Corporation of Pittsburgh and was awarded the Enterprise Consultant of the Year. Consulting engagements included business planning and marketing projects, business valuations, financial projections and founder exit strategies. In addition, Ms. Pastor taught Cost Accounting in the undergraduate Industrial Management program at Carnegie Mellon University and was awarded the Graduate Student Teacher of Year.

Upon graduation, Ms. Pastor accepted a position in the Advanced Development Program at Coopers & Lybrand, LLC in Los Angeles, California working with a variety of high tech companies. Lynne was responsible for planning and carrying out business assurance services which included evaluating the internal controls of the company.

Ms. Pastor returned to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to work in local economic development at the Ben Franklin Partnership as the Director of Entrepreneurial Education where she provided entrepreneurs with market and technical assessments of their products and services.

Lynne Pastor holds a position of Special Faculty at the Heinz Graduate School at Carnegie Mellon University and teaches Financial Analysis and Financial Modeling. She has also taught Cost and Financial Accounting and survey courses in business for business and non-business majors in the undergraduate Business Administration Program as well as Entrepreneurship at Duquesne University. Lynne Pastor formed and served as the Director of the Entrepreneurial Internship Program linking students to local emerging companies.

In addition, Lynne develops and facilitates courses in entrepreneurial and continuing professional education for local and national economic development organizations. In addition to designing and teaching courses in financial analysis, marketing and valuation, Ms. Pastor builds economic models to assist companies in management and valuation of business segments and technologies.

Prior to graduate school, Ms. Pastor owned and operated a retail business for thirteen years while teaching continuing education courses in small business finance, business feasibility and business plan writing at local community colleges.

Ms. Pastor is a volunteer tutor for the Pittsburgh Literacy Council, is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).
