Markus Ostertag

Markus is CTO at Ryte in Munich, where his teams are building tools to support website owners to change the web for the better by improving website user experience (WUX) with pillars of SEO, quality assurance, performance, accessibility, compliance, and sustainability. He loves to leverage the cloud, finding new ways to solve problems and work with cutting-edge technologies.

His first contact with AWS was in 2008 while we ran a big German movie review site that specialized in video content. At the same time, he finished his degree in computer science at the Technical University of Munich and worked afterwards at the AdTech company Team Internet in different roles (including CEO). He is always eager to work with new AWS innovations and share his knowledge with other companies and users.

Markus co-founded and organizes the AWS user group in Munich as well as the German AWS Community Days events, and he loves to talk about tech (especially cloud, performance, and agility) at meetups, universities, and conferences like AWS re:Invent. Markus is a frequent AWS speaker and has presented multiple times since 2015 at the Berlin AWS Summit and re:Invent.
