Markus Jaeger is Director at Deutsche Bank Research in New York. He is responsible for emerging markets economic and political risk research. His present research focuses on the rise of the emerging markets and its global implications, with a special focus on China. Following the onset of the euro area crisis, he was involved in European economic strategy research. Previously, he oversaw Deutsche Bank’s EEMEA and LatAm sovereign risk research in London and New York. Markus also held visiting fellowships at the European University Institute (EUI) and at Instituto de Estudos Política Econômica (IEPE/ CDG). He attended Science Po and holds a MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics.
