Mark Schmadtke

Research Interests/Areas of Expertise

With Dixon Hughes, Mark focuses on providing outsourced and co-sourced internal audit service, business risk identification and management and strategic change development. Mark is experienced in the areas of financial and operational controls, has led multiple Sarbanes-Oxley - Section 404 compliance implementations, and has designed multiple compliance risk management functions. In addition, Mark has served as partner-in-charge of external audit services on multiple public company engagements.

Mark is a CPA and Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Biography

Mark Schmadtke, who serves as Director of the Atlanta-based Dixon Hughes Risk Services Group, has a 25-year history of serving clients as a trusted advisor in the areas of accounting, internal control and governance.

Teaching

Mark teaches Ethics and Leadership in Owen’s Master of Accounting program.
