Mark is widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost experts on the dynamic modeling methodology, both as an experienced analyst and a proven instructor. Mark has published extensively on dynamic modeling in Management Science, Interfaces, Sloan Management Review, and several book chapters. In addition, his work has been featured in John Sterman’s Business Dynamics, Peter Senge’s Fifth Discipline Field Book, and Vince Barabba’s Surviving Transformation. Mark has been the CEO of Slaxer-Paich Marketing , a senior professor of economics at The Colorado College, a Senior Specialist at McKinsey & Co., as well as a principal in a number of dynamic modeling consultancies throughout his professional career. With 30 years of modeling experience, Mark has worked on client engagements with over fifty Fortune 500 companies, as well as innumerable projects with smaller firms. A crowning moment in Mark’s impressive career came when his team from General Motors received 2nd place in the 2001 Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Operations Research and the Management Sciences. Mark holds a PhD in System Dynamics from MIT, as well as a Master of Economics degree from the University of Colorado and a BA in Economics from The Colorado College.
