Mark is a director at Banksia Capital, a private-equity fund in Perth. He has worked as a private-equity investor for 17 years.

He has served on the boards of over 20 companies in Europe, Asia and Australia and has experience operating in an interim capacity as CEO, CFO and Chairman.

He has broad, practical experience of the issues that growing private businesses face. In addition he has led over 30 equity transactions and has played a lead role in the M&A and debt financing plans of those businesses.

He also has listed-company experience and since 2007 has served as a director of Perth-based, mining-services business Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX:MIN).

His current focus and more recent experience is investing in and growing private, West Australian companies so that over a 3-5 year period the shareholders are able to realise significant equity value.
