Biography

Mark DeMott is a sixth-year doctoral student in systematic theology, with research interests in ecclesiology, liberation theology, faith-based community organizing and practical theology. His work attends to the experience of those on the margins of church and society, and his dissertation explores the theology and social activism of Salvadoran Jesuit martyr Ignacio Ellacuría at the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeon Cañas in San Salvador. He loves teaching and has taught Faith & Critical Reason and Spiritual Exercises and Culture numerous times.
