Mark Chavez is an artist and animator currently based in Singapore and Los Angeles. He has an MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles. His works are presently on exhibition at Fission: The New Wave of International Digital Art, Guizhou Provincial Museum 29/4/22-31/8/22, Curated by Birgitta Hosea, Zhang Xiaotao, Li Fei.

He is exhibiting 2 video art films: Quantum LOGOS (vision serpent) and Nocturne-AEC. Featuring 44 outstanding international digital media artists, 54 works of art, and 2200 square meters, this is Guizhou Province’s first international digital art exhibition. The works cover a range of techniques, disciplines, and approaches, including interactive media, virtual reality, robotics, immersive installations, experimental animation, artificial intelligence, and archaeological visualization.

In addition, Mark has exhibited at the Chinese Millennium Museum (Beijing, China), Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria), Los Angeles Center For Digital Art (LACDA), the BANK Gallery, Omotesando district in Tokyo, Japan, the International Fine Arts Film Festival, (Santa Barbara, CA), Raw Science Film Festival (Los Angeles, CA), and other international film festivals and galleries such as the International Beyond Film Festival Special Edition for Climate Change at ZKM, Germany, Art Basel Miami 2021.

Mark is a maker of experimental media & computational art using classical techniques, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & GLSL Shader for image generation & real-time performance. He is currently a full-time artist exploring creative themes reflecting his cultural background and contemporary life.
