Margo Jackson

Professor Margo A. Jackson, Ph.D., has served as Chair of the Division of Psychological and Educational Services in the Graduate School of Education and as Director of Training of Counseling Psychology at Fordham University, Lincoln Center Campus in New York City. She is a core faculty member in the master's counseling and doctoral counseling psychology programs and an affiliated faculty member in the CLAIR doctoral program (Contemporary Learning and Interdisciplinary Research). Nationally, Jackson has served as Chair of the Council of Counseling Psychology Training Programs.

Her employment history in professional practice includes positions in community mental health and a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical center; in higher education as director of a career development center, as career counselor, job developer, and counselor in an educational opportunity program; and in private practice as co-founder of Career Counseling Associates.

Jackson has mentored, presented, and published research in multicultural psychology applications in education, social work, community and employment settings; in lifespan career counseling and development; and in training, supervision, and ethical professional practice in counseling psychology. Her scholarship is grounded in values of social justice awareness and advocacy, multicultural and interdisciplinary perspectives, and scientist-practitioner approaches to training and practice that are holistic, strength-based, developmental, and focused on facilitating healthy human relationships.
