Marcus Karner

Markus is the Academic Director of Executive Development at Singapore Management University (SMU). He co-founded Tribody Fitness out of a love for proper methods in keeping fit. Born in Austria, he spent his formative years in West Africa. He later studied in Austria and France, and was a natural scientist in Los Angeles and Hawaii. Markus moved to Singapore in 2001 and began teaching at SMU soon thereafter. He still works at SMU Executive Development, and comes to Tribody Fitness to work out.

Prior to Tribody Fitness, he tried his hand at HIIT, running, cycling and strength training with conventional weights. Eventually, he pondered over creating well-rounded fitness offerings for everyone – not just fitness enthusiasts, but anyone taking their first steps to keeping fit. Markus co-founded Tribody Fitness with Ann and Carol, and in the process, acquired his formal American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification as a trainer and fat-loss coach.

Markus is a co-investor with Carol and Ann and is a Director of Tribody Fitness. Outside of Tribody, Markus plays the bass guitar, and loves photography, woodworking, architecture and design.
